Spiritual Festivals

Spiritual festivals are times of shared meditation that contribute to people's spiritual growth and support awareness and inner peace.

Nicholas Roerich, Burning of Darkness

The three major festivals offer an opportunity to relate to the expressions of the divine Trinity. They direct individual experience toward a universal divine purpose and make visible the relationship of the whole to its parts.

The lesser festivals held at each full moon throughout the year allow us to experience this relationship more closely.

Spiritual Festivals

The Festival of Easter, Wesak and the Festival of Goodwill take place at the full moons of April, May and June, and open the most intense spiritual period of the year.

Meditation carried out with a shared intention at these times creates a link with the great spiritual centers and serves as a channel for divine energy to flow to the earth. People of different faiths can come together with the same intention.

The Wesak Festival

The Wesak Festival

Celebrated at the May full moon, Wesak commemorates the birth, enlightenment and death of the Buddha. People all around the world gather in meditation and prayer.

The energies released during the festival expand human consciousness and help limiting thought patterns give way to more inclusive ones.

The Festival of Goodwill

The Festival of Goodwill

The Festival of Goodwill at the June full moon celebrates the spiritual unity and divine nature of humanity; it is where the teachings of the Buddha and the Christ meet.

Through prayer and meditation, heart and mind are united. Humanity accepts its responsibility as part of the Divine Plan and turns toward a vision of a new world based on right relationships.
